Manage your Website
Welcome to your Website Dashboard!
We've tried to make your Website Dashboard as user-friendly as possible for you. Below you'll find more information on what you'll most likely need to access most.
More information
When you see this icon, you can click it to show more information, including a link to any extra user guides or documentation.
Here's some super quick links to take you to each section...
Section 1
Base functions that you should have access to
While every website we create is different, there are base functions that are in every one.
There are also different 'User Roles' to give varying levels of access. You may have full 'Administrator' access, or maybe a scaled down, less confusing 'Editor' access. What you see in your 'Dashboard' will depend on your user role.
If you don't see any of the features below, don't panic!
If there's something you feel you need, just open up a ticket to us ... see the link below.
Dashboard
Your Website Control Hub
The WordPress admin dashboard, often called WP Admin or WP admin panel, is essentially the control panel for your entire WordPress website. It’s where you create and manage content, add functionality in the form of plugins, change styling in the form of themes, and lots, lots more.
If you’re using WordPress, the WordPress admin panel is going to be a big part of your life. For that reason, it’s important to understand where to find the WordPress admin, what it lets you do, and how you can use it to manage your site.
Blog Posts
Blogging is Great for SEO
Add blog posts on your website that can then be shared to social media, and used in your email marketing newsletters.
Blogging is the secret sauce in SEO!
Static Pages
About, Contact, Services etc
Pages are static. They don't change very often and contain specific information about your business. Things like About, Contact, Home, Services, FAQ etc.
Media Library
Images, Videos, PDFs & Files
The Media Library is where you manage your uploads... images, video, audio, pdf's and any other files you upload to your website.
Under the Media menu, there are two screens. The first screen Library lists all the files in the media library. These files can be edited and deleted from the library. The second screen is Add New, which allows you to upload files. You can also upload media (images, videos, etc) while writing a post or page. However, the Add New link under allows you to upload files without attaching them to a specific post or page.
We have a few different sections for you to learn more about the Media and the Media Library:
Page Builder
Elementor
Elementor / Page Builder is used to design those gorgeous pages on your website.
When you go to 'edit' a page, post, product etc... if you see a little notice that says "Elementor is currently active for this page" along with a button "Launch Elementor" - then you MUST MUST MUST use Elementor or your page design will break!! Don't panic tho - you can quickly get the design back by simply 'editing' with Beaver Builder and 'Publish' the page. Phew!
Classic Editor
Original Old Style Editor
The Classic Editor is the default editor for WordPress. On it's own, it doesn't give us much design flexibility, which is why we prefer to use Beaver Builder to create our fabulousness!
You still need to learn a little more about it tho, as it's still relevant in some places, including to use within Beaver Builder.
Blog Posts & ecommerce Products are typically where you'll see the Classic Editor being used on it's own, rather than Beaver Builder. On saying that, it is absolutely possible to use Beaver Builder for those too.
Section 2
